Remarkable Progress Achieved Through University–Industry Collaboration as the Open-Call Research Project Passes Midterm Assessment

On May 25, 2026, Shanghai Chuanghong Biotechnology Co., Ltd., in collaboration with Shanghai Vocational College of Agriculture and Forestry, completed the 2026 midterm review of the project “Development of a Novel Rapid Diagnostic Kit for Pet Diseases (Feline Calicivirus Rapid Test Kit).” The project’s progress was highly recognized by the expert review panel and successfully passed the midterm assessment.
The midterm review was led by the project principal investigator, Ms. Xu Li. During the review meeting, Ms. Ma Jingjing, representing the company, presented the project's implementation progress, key milestones achieved to date, and the work plan for the next phase.


The expert review panel highly commended the project's progress and unanimously agreed that the project addresses the urgent need for rapid clinical diagnosis and control of pet infectious diseases. The experts noted that the project features a well-defined technical roadmap and has achieved solid interim results, and they approved the project’s successful completion of the midterm review. At the same time, the panel provided valuable recommendations for the next phase of development, including further optimization of lyophilization process parameters, enhancement of room-temperature storage stability, and expanded validation using a larger number of clinical samples. These suggestions will help guide the project's continued advancement and future commercialization.
